Jim Comstock, owner of Comstock Building Evaluation, is a residential and commercial building inspector. Since retiring from the U.S. Navy as a Master Chief in 1991, Jim has specialized full time in building inspection, and all inspections are conducted by Jim.

Making sure your building inspector is thoroughly qualified is critical to the success of your building inspection. A qualified, impartial inspector follows strict industry standards to ensure that the building is properly inspected and a complete report is submitted.

We offer inspection services for almost every real estate situation, from a general inspection of the entire property to an in-depth inspection of a specific system or element.

Jim Comstock is a member of the California Real Estate Inspection Association (CREIA), a voluntary, nonprofit public-benefit organization of real estate inspectors. Being a member of CREIA means we follow the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice for the real estate inspection industry.

Jim also holds his general contracting license, as well as a wide variety of industry certifications.
